Adam Chuck
ADAMCHUCK (he/him) is a queer artist working primarily in oil paint on mylar. His works are figurative and abstract, taking found photos, curated by amateur photographers and bloggers for the internet and re-presents the imagery to a more formal audience. By rendering them in paint at an intimate scale, Adam takes these sometimes explicit or intimate moments and presents them like specimens or a small photo like a Polaroid, examining the way many humans present themselves on the internet. The final product is an intimate twist of classic expressionism and contemporary self portraiture. The source images have already been well curated for the internet or perhaps lovers, but have all made it to the public realm of the world wide web. The works function together similar to a newsfeed on a social media site, and on their own are vignettes of different human experiences and stories woven together. Adam graduated from The Cleveland Institute of Art in spring of 2012 with a BFA in drawing and now lives and works in Brooklyn with his roommates and dog, Ellie. He has since exhibited work solo and in several group shows around the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. His work has been seen in Paris represented by Less is More Projects, Maria Neil Art Project in Cleveland, Atlantic Gallery in New York City, Art Gaysel in junction with Art Basel Miami, Pequeños Bribones in Mexico City, The Tom of Finland Foundation in Los Angeles, and more. His work is in private collections around the world from his native Cleveland to Paris, London, Berlin, South Africa, and Malta.

Andrew Freshour
Andrew Freshour is an artist drawn to whimsy, laced with homoeroticism and Anglo-Catholic undertones. His male figures, though scantily clad, are often wearing a cross. His languorous saints know you're looking with unchaste eyes (and like it). Even Andrew's secular figures elect not to hide their "light" under a bushel basket. All of this he achieves through his detailed line work and bright, sweeping watercolors.

Anthony Casasanto
“I’m still here...I’ve stood on breadlines with the best…” My art offers a peaceful and thoughtful look at my life, living it as a gay man who has seen much. I believe it reflects an educated and experienced vision of beauty in the male figure, still life, and landscape. When I grew up in South Philadelphia, I was more interested in art and cooking pasta dishes and pastries with my mother than playing sports. I went to Catholic schools, and then to the University of the Arts. I made a living as a chef in Philadelphia, Key West, and my own restaurant in Cape May, NJ. I now devote myself to painting. A nature lover and bird watcher, I travel with my husband to places of natural beauty, recording images to chronicle life today.

Co
Co's work is the product of a love affair with vintage physique photography, gay pornography made before the 1990s, and rural living. If a season is an influence, Co’s is Summer. He takes his audience on a road trip down those dusty roads, camping in the woods, paddling down a river, and grabbing a cold one from the Coleman. Classic beefcake redefined.

Colton Ackerman
Working in watercolor and ink, Colton's paintings are inspired by illustrators of the past, featuring curvaceous line, vivid color, and bold patterns. The whimsical, soft touches balance out the often harder, erotic subject matter, infusing the work with a silly sensuality that perfectly encapsulates the love for his ever-growing queer family. You can find more work via @coltonackerman on IG.

David Jester
For the past 5 years, I made a series of 200 pool paintings. Pools were great metaphors for adjacent environments that are different. The outside world and the world of the pools have distorted views of each other and yet are the same world. So they were for me the gay community alongside the broader world, and allowed me to explore the relationships within that world. There are currently 17 left from the series and I am working on the next series for 2025. I grew up in Southern California and have my MFA from Rutgers University.

My painting is part of that European figurative tradition. Queer art of the male nude is my choice with all of the baggage that it entails. I choose to live in the New York City area as it offers a cultural opening of art for the sake of art. Each painting is part of a personal journey of learning how to paint, to make something new. I am an internationally recognized master printmaker with a major work in the MOMA of Japan entitled - "The Aides Intellectual Quilt" a monumental print of hand sewn etchings that reads as paper quilt tapestry. I was born in Colorado and did my graduate studies at the Yale School of Art.

Kenney Mencher
I was born in Brooklyn February of 1965. During much of my childhood I lived in Brooklyn, the Bronx, upstate NY, Sarasota, Florida, and Manhattan. (Both my mother and father divorced and remarried.) The real hero of my childhood is my older brother Marc who literally changed my diapers, acted as my protector and as my role model. I started to learn to paint and draw when I was six or seven years old and was convinced that I would be an artist from that age on. As a teen at the High School of Art and Design I got my best training in Irwin Greenberg’s class where he taught me how to draw, oil paint and watercolor. I also attended classes at the Cooper Union and Art Students League. My parents threw me out in my senior year of high school, so I earned my GED and worked construction on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It was a rough time but my older brother and his partner Kirk rescued me by inviting me to move with them to Cincinnati, Ohio to live and study. While a college student, I worked in restaurants and painted as much as I could. After a year at the University of Cincinnati, I went back to the Bronx where I finished college at CUNY Lehman. Lehman is a fantastic college. After completing my undergraduate studies, I lived in California and then Ohio completing my two masters’ degrees in Art History and Studio Art. After school I was lucky enough to have dual careers as an exhibiting artist and tenured professor. In 2014 I began to work on paintings with a strong homoerotic content. Despite excellent sales and well received shows, the galleries I worked with wouldn’t show my new queer work, so I’ve been successfully working mainly directly with my collectors. This change has freed me and allowed me to focus on themes and subjects that, in the past, were rejected or resulted in censorship. Things are going great! In 2016, after eighteen years of teaching art history and studio courses, I resigned a tenured professorship to pursue painting full time.

Max Chen
Max Chen, a Brooklyn-based ceramic artist, intricately weaves narratives that mirror his experience as a queer, first-generation Asian American. Born in Ohio, raised in New Jersey, and having lived in China as an American, Chen's artistic journey is deeply intertwined with his exploration of identity and belonging. Embracing his status as an outsider, Chen reimagines traditional ceramic forms with subtle yet profound subversive elements drawn from ancient mythology, architectural motifs, and the vast expanse of internet culture. Through ceramics, a medium rich with variables and unexpected outcomes, he finds a canvas for expressing the allure of imperfection. With each creation, Chen strikes a delicate balance between precision and rawness, transforming clay into a medium for exploring the complexities of gender and sexuality. Like clay, these aspects of identity are malleable, capable of being shaped and reshaped until finding resonance with one's true self.

Nick Kroetz
Nick has spent his entire life drawing and painting - most recently with a sharpened focus on the male form. He has been drawn to figurative art ever since studying in Italy during college in an art program called ‘the renaissance apprentice’ where he spent 3 months using original techniques and materials, and drawing inspiration from master sculptures at the Bargello, Ufizzi, and the Vatican. He enjoys drawing from life whenever possible. He particularly enjoys the rendering of quiet moments, voyeurism that romanticizes the male form, and incorporating nature wherever possible.

Patrick Mizumoto
Patrick Mizumoto is a visual artist living in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Influenced by a life lived by the ocean and his own personal experiences as a half Japanese half Italian queer man. His work predominantly includes male figure paintings, abstraction, and scenes from nature. These emotive figures focus on expressing themes of self-identity and the complex energy surrounding the pursuit of wholeness, both emotionally and physically. He hopes to capture moments of beauty both within our recognizable human experience as well as the indescribable abstract emotions experienced through inner conflict and peace. Patrick studied in a traditional atelier at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA) where he was mentored by artist Sergio Sanchez. He learned to paint and draw from the teachings of the academy as well as from years of self-studying the old masters and contemporary artists alike. His work has been exhibited across the U.S.A., notably in Hawai’i at the Bishop Museum, Honolulu Museum of Art School, and the Hawai’i State Art Museum.

It was performing at Zumanity in Las Vegas where he discovered his love for fashion illustration through the costume design of Thierry Mugler and marvelous illustrations of Stefano Canuli. After dancing with Celine Dion in two of her consecutive summer tours, in January 2019 Pepe became Celine’s fashion stylist and creative consultant, pursuing his career as an illustrator at the same time as traveling the world with the singer. Styling her musicians for the Courage World Tour and assisting in the show creation, as well as styling Madame Dion together with Sydney Lopez. Pepe considers himself mainly a fashion illustrator - ink and watercolor mostly - even though he is also very passionate about the male anatomy and the erotism within it. He uses watercolors, pastels, pencil, charcoals and any sort of medium he finds to portray the male form. Pepe is back on stage touring the US with Moulin Rouge the Musical as he continues to pursue his passion as a fashion illustrator, with clients including Carolina Herrera, VOGUE Runway, Messika, AmFar, Manolo Blahnik and FABER CASTELL, amongst others.

Sarah Fishbein
Sarah Fishbein is a contemporary mosaic artist based in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. For over 20 years, Fishbein has been a force of innovation in the world of visual imagery. Her journey began with traditional forms of photography and video production, but in recent years her craft has undergone a remarkable evolution. Sarah has found her voice in the realm of pop art mosaics, blending her respect for pop art with the romance comics and characters of the 1950s and 60s, creating a vibrant, modern, pop culture in glass. Her unique approach isn't just about aesthetics. Fishbein has pioneered a fusion of stained glass and mosaic techniques, crafting pieces that are as technically profound as they are visually captivating. While her works draw from the past, they resonate with contemporary themes—feminism, empowerment, sexuality, and the intricacies of today's relationships. More than just an artist, Fishbein is a storyteller. Her mosaics, rich with history and current narratives, invite viewers on a journey through time. With two decades of experience and an ever-evolving style, Fishbein continues to shape and redefine the mosaic landscape.

Zach Grear
Zach Grear is a writer and self-taught artist living in Brooklyn, NY. His art specializes in the vintage gay porn magazines he used to shoplift as a teenager. His aim is to lift gay erotic imagery into an exalted plane. He uses markers to manually draw tattoo imagery and collages in floral backgrounds that he’s photographed. Recurring words and symbols in the tattoos add to the distortion, morphing the original intent of the image without dulling its erotic lure. Lust is a necessary part of the medium, both the artists and the viewers. Grear’s artwork also includes portraits of his personal heroes along with peers in the contemporary Queer art scene.
